PROMOTING MULTIGENERATIONAL BONDING SINCE 2008
ABOUT PROJECT CHEER 2018
Project Cheer 2018, in collaboration with Anglo-Chinese Junior College students
“With Cheer, We Bond”. This is the ethos that has held up the spirit of Project Cheer 2018 since its beginning.

Staying true to our objective of encouraging multi-generational bonding, the students put their heads and hearts forward to plan a day of activities designed to achieve fruitful interaction between children, youth and elderly. This process involved each team of students meeting the staff from both children and elderly charity centres, submitting a proposal, preparing for and executing the day of activities and undergoing several rounds of reflections. Through this process, the students truly learnt to be the heads, hands and legs of their own project sessions. The Tan Chin Tuan Foundation sincerely appreciates the hard work that all students, staff from charity centres and mentors from ACJC had put in to make Project Cheer 2018 a success!
The Tan Chin Tuan Foundation was privileged to co-host the Project Cheer Closing Tea on 30 July 2018 with ACJC. During the tea reception, student leaders discussed their programme planning and leadership experience in a short sharing session facilitated by Mr Mervyn Sek, ACJC HOD (Project Work & Values In Action). Of the 11 teams, 3 teams namely 2SC1, 2AH and OCIP Chiangmai, were recognised for their good planning, execution and achieving multi-generational bonding in their Project Cheer sessions. In addition, 4 charity centres were also acknowledged as our best partnering charities in Project Cheer 2018.
